PRODUCTION

To maintain the high quality level, the entire production cycle takes place in its own factories, located in the Campania, where the culture of quality coffee has always been deeply rooted, which today is rewarding on the market. To do this, the company, which owns a factory of about 8000 mq, has invested in technologically advanced machinery, equipped with a system that performs the "ecological roasting" of green coffee which allows the beans to be roasted uniformly from the heart to the outside, thus obtaining a sweeter and more aromatic coffee in the cup. The ecological roasting of coffee takes place with 100% clean hot air flows, that preheat the green coffee, to prevent it from undergoing thermic shocks at the time of roasting, and in the total absence of combustion fumes, contrary to what happens in traditional roasting machines. The products are placed in the medium-high segment, thanks to the selection and wise dosage in the blends of the finest Arabica and Robusta coffees and to the meticulousness and craftsmanship of the processing. Since its establishment, the company has always been oriented towards the continuous search for quality, starting with the selection of the finest Arabica and Robusta coffees from the main producing countries of South America, Central and Caribbean America, Africa and Asia. The pride of the company since 1997 is (Caffè Domenico Gioia Srl was among the first companies in southern Italy to produce paper pods and in 1998 among the founding members of the ESE Consortium) the packaging of coffee pods in filter paper, in the 44mm and 38mm format, double pod and compatible with senseo system machines. Today the single-dose line has been further expanded and also includes biodegradable plastic capsules and capsules compatible with the most popular coffee machines (Nespresso *, Lavazza Espresso Point *, Lavazza Blue *, Lavazza A Modo Mio *, Aroma Vero *, Dolce Gusto *, Uno System *, Esse *, Caffitaly *.
Numerous are the certifications obtained over the years and in particular HACCP, Gosstandardt for products destined to domestic market of the Russian Federation, Organic certification, food safety certification BRC, FDA for the US market and various other international product certifications, and has been implementing, for years, the certified quality management system UNI EN ISO 9001. Furthermore, all products in the coffee line comply with Jewish food standards and have received Kosher certification.
In 2018 Caffè Gioia received two important awards, the brand of origin COFFEES FROM PERU and the SUPERIOR TASTE AWARD, the latter confirmed also in 2019 and in 2020, by the International Taste Institute of Brussels.
